On Thursday, May 3, 2018 the Durham Catholic District School Board recognized seven graduates from Durham Catholic schools at the 5th Annual Durham Catholic Children's Foundation Gala. In addition, an active member of the Durham Catholic community was recognized with the 2018 Community Service Award.

"Our Distinguished Catholic Alumni and Community Service Award recipients are exemplary role models of the Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations. Each has a story of inspiration that our current students can look up to; and those stories speak volumes to the value of Catholic education here in Durham Region and Ontario," said Anne O'Brien, Director of Education.
