St. Joseph Catholic School Oshawa hosts their First Lego Robotics Showcase Expo.

Local media are invited to attend a photo opportunity at St. Joseph Catholic School, in Oshawa to showcase Youth Fusion Lego Robotics. 

What:             Grade 3 Students at St. Joseph Catholic School in Oshawa are displaying their First Lego
                      Robotics Mission to the Moon projects, while highlighting the benefits of engineering and
                      STEAM. The school’s “Future Cities” project will also be on display. 

                      Robotics Teams from Sinclair Public Secondary School and Trafalgar Castle School will be on
                      hand to provide students with information on the opportunities that exists if they continue to
                      discover an engineering pathway. Judges will also be awarding students work. 

When:            Friday, February 8, 2019
                      Time: 1:30 p.m. 

Where:           St. Joseph Catholic School
                     1200 Summerwood Heights, Oshawa 

Why:              The Durham Catholic District School Board is offering more experiential learning
                      opportunities for students in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math
                      (STEAM). The Youth Fusion Lego Robotics program is new to the school and the students are
                      proud to display and talk about their Lego Robotics Mission to the Moon projects and their
                      learning.
