At the Regular Board Meeting on March 25, 2019, the Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) announced the resignation of Paul Pulla, Trustee for the City of Oshawa.

Mr. Pulla was elected in 2014 and 2018. Trustees and staff are grateful for the many roles Mr. Pulla has played in his Catholic education journey with DCDSB from student, to teacher, principal, Supervisory Officer, Director of Education, to elected trustee.

“It has been an honour to serve the Durham Catholic learning community with Mr. Pulla as a member of the board. His deep commitment to our Catholic faith and his vast experience and understanding of our school system is appreciated. On behalf of the Board of Trustees, we wish Mr. Pulla the very best,” said John Rinella, Chair of the Board.

“I thank Mr. Pulla for the impact he has made across our Catholic school system,” said Anne O’Brien, Director of Education. “He has consistently demonstrated leadership, passion for Catholic education and an unwavering focus on student achievement and well-being. We are grateful for his service,” she said.

A decision by board trustees about the process for filling the position of Trustee for the City of Oshawa will be announced in April 2019.
