Durham Catholic District School Board is now Accepting Online Applications to Regional Arts & Media Program

 Students in Grades 6 and 8 are invited to apply for September 2019 start 

The Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) is now accepting applications to the Regional Arts & Media Program, located at All Saints Catholic Secondary School in Whitby. This program serves students in Grade 7 to 12 and offers additional specialized instruction in the arts or media program discipline of their choice.

“We are excited to invite all Grade 6 and Grade 8 students to apply now for Year 2 of our program which will start in September 2019,” said Tracy Barill, Superintendent of Education at the Durham Catholic District School Board. “If you have a passion for the arts or media then we encourage you to apply – no prior experience is necessary.” 

Program areas include Dance, Instrumental Music, Media Arts, Performing Arts (Drama/Vocal Music), and Visual Arts.  Visit amp.dcdsb.ca for more information on each of the program areas. 

Online applications open on October 15 to December 8, 2018. A $35.00 fee applies for each program area you complete an application for. 

Not sure how to complete an audition? Staff from the Regional Arts & Media Program are offering an Audition Workshop C-AMP on October 27, 2018. Registration is now open and you can sign up at amp.dcdsb.ca.

All Saints Catholic Secondary School is a dual track school offering a comprehensive Grade 9 to 12 program for students who live within the All Saints Catholic Secondary School boundary alongside the Grade 7 to 12 Regional Arts & Media Program.

Important Dates:

  • October 15, 2018 – December 8, 2018: Online applications are open;

  • November 22, 2018: Regional Arts & Media Program information session and open house; and
  • January 12-13, 2019: Auditions
