DCDSB's Supervised Alternative Learning Committee Seeks Community Representative

Posted On Wednesday May 22, 2019

The Supervised Alternative Learning Committee (SAL) of the Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) is seeking a community representative to join the team.

SAL is a regulatory committee of DCDSB comprised of a Board Trustee and representatives of local community associations. The committee’s goal is to further the interests and well-being of students who are most at risk and disengaged from the school, providing them with opportunities to stay connected to learning and re-engage more fully at a later date.

The community representative is a volunteer member of the SAL Committee who represents the voice of the larger Durham Catholic community. The successful candidate is not required to be a parent in the Durham Catholic school system or a member of any of the community agencies represented on the committee.

Meetings take place monthly during the school day.

Interested applicants should submit a letter of interest by June 14, 2019 addressed to:

                                    John Mullins, Superintendent of Education

                                    650 Rossland Road West, Oshawa L1J 7C4
