The Durham Catholic District School Board is pleased to launch the first phase of its newly designed public website at dcdsb.ca.

The website redesign project is based on feedback from users and marks a significant milestone in the board’s strategic direction for managing resources with a focus on community engagement.

In keeping with the board’s commitment to Excellence, Equity and Engagement, the site has been refreshed to support the delivery of timely information that is engaging and accessible for all.

While maintaining some of the features of the previous website, such as compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, news, calendars, and a responsive design for tablets or smartphones, the refreshed site also includes:

  • A new look
  • Improved font size for better visibility
  • Improved layout and navigation based on user feedback
  • Decrease in size of banners and images with the addition of four new buttons promoting board-wide and school initiatives

Students, families and partners are encouraged to visit the site and share their voice through the feedback button found at the top of the page. This will allow staff to monitor the effectiveness of this updated tool and work towards ongoing improvements to accessibility, content development and other features.

The second phase of the project will involve the redesign of school and affiliate sites to align with the look, feel and features of the new dcdsb.ca. This work has already begun and will continue until all sites are launched by the end of January 2021.
