DCDSB Chair and Vice-Chair Selected for 2019

At the Inaugural Board Meeting on December 3, 2018, led by the Most Reverend Bishop Vincent Nguyen as Honourary Chair, Durham Catholic District School Board Trustees were guided in their Service of Dedication of the Roman Catholic Trustee, followed by the election of the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Board.

John Rinella, Trustee for the Town of Whitby, was selected for the position of Chair of the Board for 2019. “It is an honour to take on the position of Chair of the Board for 2019,” said Chair Rinella. “I am committed to supporting, protecting and enhancing our system,” he said.

Tricia Chapman, Trustee for the Town of Whitby, was selected for the position of Vice-Chair for 2019. “I am thrilled to fulfill the role of Vice-Chair and stand by my commitment to advancing our system and our school board,” she said.

On behalf of the Board’s Senior Administrative Team, Anne O’Brien, Director of Education congratulated Chair Rinella and Vice-Chair Chapman on their positions.

“It is a special time to be a Catholic school trustee. We look forward to serving with Chair Rinella and Vice-Chair Chapman this year as we continue to celebrate the Year of Joy and our 50th commemorative year as a Catholic school system,” said Anne O’Brien, Director of Education. “We are blessed to have our Board of Trustees advocating on a local and provincial level, for our families who believe in our unique and faith-filled system,” she said.
