12th Annual Durham Catholic Children's Foundation Gala

Dear DCDSB Families,

We are writing on behalf of the Durham Catholic Children’s Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing hope to students in need in our community. Our Foundation has been actively working towards this mission since 2014, raising over $737,000 to provide essential services and support to children and families in need. We recognize that now, more than ever, students and families need our help. Over 25% of individuals in Durham Region are reported to experience food insecurity, there has been a rise in families experiencing issues related to housing and low income in our community.

Durham Catholic Children’s Foundation is pleased to announce the 12th Annual Foundation Gala, where 100% of the proceeds raised will go towards supporting Durham Catholic students and families. The gala will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Tosca Banquet Hall (800 Champlain Ave, Oshawa). Bringing together staff, parents, clergy, and community partners from across the region, the gala will recognize and celebrate our Durham Catholic Distinguished Alumni Award recipients. For a limited time, Early Bird tickets for the event can be purchased now at an all-inclusive discounted rate of $110 at DurhamCatholicFoundation.ca. Please note that regular pricing of $130 per ticket will commence on January 18, 2025.

The gala also has various sponsorship opportunities, ranging from silent auction prize donations, through to various levels of sponsorship. This support will be acknowledged through a number of channels, including all gala materials, media releases, social media, and the Foundation’s website.

We would like to personally invite you to share in this celebration of community and be part of this year’s event through your attendance at the gala and/or sponsorship. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our very own Durham Catholic students.

Sincerely,

Bernadette Santiago, Chair                                         Gerard Winn, Director of Education
