All DCDSB schools, offices and buildings are closed on Monday, January 26, 2026, due to inclement weather conditions.  

Bus transportation, the Catholic Education Centre, community use permits, and before and after school programs located in schools are also cancelled. 

Childcare centres operating within DCDSB schools will communicate directly with families enrolled in their programs. 

Secondary schools will communicate updates regarding exams to students and families. 

DCDSB schools and offices will re-open on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

Please be advised that due to inclement weather conditions, the Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) has made the decision to close all schools and offices on Monday, January 26, 2026.  

Bus transportation, the Catholic Education Centre, community use permits, and before and after school programs located in schools are also cancelled. Child care centres operating within DCDSB schools will communicate directly with families enrolled in their programs. 

It is never an easy decision to close our schools, and we know the weather can be unpredictable and may impact each town or city differently. 

Secondary schools will communicate updates regarding exam schedules. Note that no student is penalized for a weather-related absence on a school closure day. 

All DCDSB schools, buildings and offices will re-open on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
