Author Yolanda T. Marshall Visits St. John Bosco Catholic School
During the month of February, students at St. John Bosco Catholic School celebrated the literature of Black authors as part of their Black History Month Learning. As a culminating activity, Black Canadian author, Yolanda T. Marshall, visited the school on Friday, February 27. Yolanda read her latest book, Brown Girl in the Snow, inspired by a traditional Caribbean children’s song and captures a child’s unwavering persistence and passion, as she grows into her new home in Canada. Yolanda also answered questions about the books they had read and shared information about the publishing process.
