Centre for Success Students Explore St. Lawrence Market

On Wednesday, October 28, the students from the Centre for Success program at Father Donald MacLellan Catholic Secondary School journeyed by GO Train to the St. Lawrence Market to explore some multicultural experiences. Mr. Drake led a short walking tour of the Union Station area when they arrived including the historic VIA Rail concourse, the Fairmont Royal York Hotel and the underground PATH walking system. The students took plenty of photographs of city life and architecture to document the experience.

At the St. Lawrence Market students had a bit of free time to explore the market vendors and sample some sweet treats. The students ate lunch at an Italian sandwich and pasta shop and then headed back along Front Street to Union Station.

Thanks so much to Father Donald MacLellan Catholic Secondary School administrators and to the DCDSB for supporting this trip. The students gained experience with public transit, city experience and cultural immersion. It was a great day!
