The Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) invites parents, guardians and caregivers to provide their input on the draft 2026-2027 school year calendars. 

You can view the Draft 2026-2027 Elementary School Calendar and Draft 2026-2027 Secondary School Calendar online.  

Highlights include:

  • The first day of school for students is Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
  • The proposed winter break is from December 21, 2026 - January 1, 2027. The last day of classes will be December 18, 2026, and students will return to class on January 4, 2027.
  • The proposed March Break is March 15 - March 19, 2027.

If you would like to provide comments on the draft calendars, we invite you to do so by completing a brief survey. Please click here to complete the 2026-2027 school year calendar survey. The survey will close at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026. 

We thank you in advance for your input. Your comments will be reviewed and considered in making final recommendations for Board and Ministry of Education approval. 

We will share the finalized 2026-2027 school year calendars with families once they have been approved by the Board of Trustees and Ministry of Education.
