DCDSB Summer Rays Shine at Pingle’s Farm

Our Summer Rays program boosts literacy and math skills while offering all the social benefits of camp for Kindergarten to Grade 3 students who were recommended by their classroom teachers. Recently, our young learners visited Pingle’s Farm, where our class lessons came to life through hands-on experiences and outdoor exploration.

The highlight of the trip was picking fresh strawberries, which were later made into delicious treats, helping students connect their learning to real-world experiences. Beyond the strawberry patch, students had a blast riding giant tricycles, zooming down slides, creating massive bubbles, and learning more about farm animals.
