Easter Message

Dear Families,

As we journey through Holy Week and prepare to celebrate Easter, we give thanks for the hope and joy of Jesus’ Resurrection, which reminds us that God’s love is always with us. This sacred season invites us to recognize Christ’s presence in our families, schools, and communities, and to renew our commitment to walk together as People of Peace.

In keeping with our spiritual theme, Blessed are the Peacemakers (Matthew 5:9), we are reminded that peace begins in the heart, is nurtured within the home, and takes root in our classrooms and communities. When we listen with openness, speak with gentleness, and reflect Christ’s love through our actions, we help create learning environments where every student is welcomed, valued, and supported.

During Lent, our Durham Catholic schools have shared this message through prayer, acts of kindness, and faith‑filled learning. We are grateful to our parishes, families, and staff for supporting our students and helping our school communities grow in faith.

This Easter, we pray that the peace of the Risen Christ fills our hearts and homes, and inspires us to share love, compassion, and joy with one another.

Yours in peace and faith,
