Esthetics Experience Day at Durham College
On Wednesday, April 29, Grade 9 and 10 students and staff from Monsignor John Pereyma Catholic Secondary School ventured to the Durham College Oshawa campus for a day filled with new experiences and fun tied to the world of Esthetics!
Students got to explore dazzling nails, dive into some massage and anatomy and checked out the latest lip trends in the beautiful cosmetology lab space. The workshops, led by passionate experts from their fields, were designed to allow students with an opportunity to explore post-secondary life, specifically, DC’s Massage Therapy or Cosmetic Techniques and Management programs. The students jumped in with enthusiasm and willingness, which led to a total success of a day!
This opportunity was made possible through funding from the Ministry of Education’s Dual Credit program, which allows high school students to take college or apprenticeship courses while earning credits toward both their Ontario Secondary School Diploma and a college diploma, certificate, or apprenticeship.
