Family Wellness Night at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic School
On Thursday, May 7, St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic School hosted a Family Wellness Night where families were invited to visit a variety of stations to learn about health and wellness. These included mindful stretching, learning about healthy lunch and snack options, strategies for mental wellness, dancing, planting seeds around the outdoor learning space, painting rocks and much more.
The school's Pieces of Peace student club, led by Miss Casey and Mrs. Chilvers, partnered with Durham Public Health and Dogwood Forest to provide activities and information for families. The school community was fortunate to have organizations such as the City of Oshawa, Flying Squirrel, Booster Juice, Walmart, Oshawa Zoo and LA Fitness donate to the event. Thank you to everyone who participated in a very successful event!
