Good Shepherd Catholic School Hosts Annual Thanksgiving Lunch

On October 7, the Catholic School Council at Good Shepherd Catholic School welcomed students, staff, families, parish and community partners to its annual Thanksgiving Lunch, a beloved tradition that has brought the school community together for more than 25 years.

What began decades ago continues to thrive thanks to the dedication of the Catholic School Council, which plans, prepares, and coordinates the event each year. Local grocery stores support the lunch by donating and cooking turkeys, contributing food, and offering discounts, while a local nursery provides beautiful seasonal decorations. This year, Grade 4 and 5 students also added a special touch by crafting the centrepieces for each table.

Rooted in gratitude and community, the annual Thanksgiving Lunch is made possible through the generosity of many volunteers and supporters. Through their service, kindness, and care for one another, they demonstrate how God's light is meant to be shared. Together, they help create an environment where students feel valued, included, respected, and loved while strengthening the sense of community that has sustained this cherished tradition for more than 25 years.

A special thank you to Father Neyomal, the Catholic School Council, and all donors, volunteers, families, and staff who came together to create a memorable experience for students.
