Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School Students Reflect on Truth and Reconciliation

On September 29, students at Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School showcased their learning and reflections ahead of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation by displaying Orange Shirt designs and written reflections in the school's main foyer.

As we prepare to recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, each homeroom class was given the opportunity to learn, reflect, and engage in meaningful conversations about the experiences and history of Indigenous Peoples in Canada. Students then expressed their learning and reflections through creative designs on orange paper shirts.

These powerful student reflections will be displayed in the school's main foyer as a reminder of the importance of learning from the past, honouring Survivors and their families, and continuing the journey toward truth, understanding, and reconciliation.
