Racing Arcade Project at St. Mary Catholic Secondary School
The Racing Arcade project was a collaborative, hands-on build created by students in the TAS1O/TAS2O, TMJ3O and TCJ4O Technology courses alongside Mr. Greco and Mr. DiFonzo's Construction classes over the course of the school year.
This project combines skills from multiple areas of the skilled trades and technology education programs including woodworking, construction, electrical wiring, design, problem solving, and teamwork. Students were involved in every stage of the build process, from drawing out initial blueprints/sketches and measuring, to assembly, wiring, finishing/painting, and final setup.
This project gave students the opportunity to work together on a large-scale build that reflects creativity, craftsmanship and pride in the skilled trades. The final product truly showcases the talent, dedication and hard work of the students involved while creating something they were excited to be a part of.
