Sadé McCreath Brings Olympic Spirit to St. Patrick Catholic School
On Friday, November 21, Grade 7 and 8 students at St. Patrick Catholic School had the exciting opportunity to watch a presentation from Canadian Olympian, Sadé McCreath. Sadé competed in the 4 x 100m relay with Team Canada during the 2024 Paris Olympics and received a gold medal in the inaugural mixed 4 x 100m at the 2025 World Athletics Relays in Guangzhou, China.
Sadé shared her journey about how she started her athletic career as a gymnast and discovered her love for track and field in Grade 7. Sadé passionately spoke about the sport and encouraged students to follow their dreams and practice their favourite sports and hobbies, because through dedication, hard work and training, anything is possible.
After answering questions from students, Sadé passed around memorabilia, including her gold medal from the 2025 World Athletics Relays, baton, and Team Canada Olympic jacket.
Thank you to Sadé for inspiring DCDSB students to achieve their dreams and believe in themselves!
