St. Patrick Catholic School's Prefect Program

Grade 8 students at St. Patrick Catholic School are leading by example through the Prefect Program!

The Prefect Program is a student leadership initiative designed to foster responsibility, service, and a positive school culture. Grade 8 students selected as prefects support school-wide activities, serve as role models for their peers, and assist staff during transitions, events, and daily routines. Through this program, students develop leadership skills, confidence, and a strong sense of community and belonging.

This initiative is grounded in the Gospel values, Catholic Social Teaching, and the Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations. The program invites students to lead not through authority, but through service, integrity, and example. Through their daily actions, Grade 8 prefects contribute to a school environment that is safe, respectful, inclusive, and faith-filled.
