Student Walk for Hope in Support of the Durham Catholic Children’s Foundation
Throughout May and June, schools across the Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) are invited to participate in the Student Walk for Hope in support of the Durham Catholic Children’s Foundation.
The Student Walk for Hope encourages students and staff to come together in a spirit of community and compassion while raising funds to support Foundation initiatives. Participants are invited to contribute “virtual” toonie donations, with all funds raised going directly toward helping children and families within the DCDSB. Donations can be made through School Cash Online.
The Durham Catholic Children’s Foundation is dedicated to ensuring that students have access to the basic daily necessities needed to attend school and succeed. The Foundation also helps remove barriers to participation, supporting students in all aspects of school life and helping them reach their full potential.
Last year, more than 81% of DCDSB schools participated in the Walk for Hope, raising $15,869.05 to support families in need across the Durham Region. This year, the Board‑wide fundraising goal is $20,000.
Thank you for your continued generosity and support in making a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and families.
