Health & Safety Policies and Procedures

The Durham Catholic District School Board is committed to providing a healthy and safe learning and working environment for all its employees. To this end, the Board lives out this commitment consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.  

The Boards Occupational Health and Safety Policy is reviewed on an annual basis. This policy is posted on every schools Health and Safety Bulletin Board.

Occupational Health and Safety Policy

The Durham Catholic District School Board prepares, reviews and implements the following Occupational Health and Safety procedures:

  • AP318-1 – Hearing Protection
  • AP318-2 – Scented Personal Products
  • AP318-3 – Protective Footwear
  • AP318-4 – Automated External Defibrillators
  • AP318-5 – Lockout/Tagout
  • AP318-6 – Drone Safety
  • AP318-7 – Indoor Environmental Quality
  • AP318-8 – Sharp and Infectious Wastes

A Health and Safety Bulletin Board is located at each school/site, in a conspicuous area where it is accessible to all staff.
