Project Overview
The replacement Monsignor Paul Dwyer Catholic High School is being constructed to support the needs of a growing school community and to provide modern, safe, and accessible learning spaces. This project represents a significant investment in Catholic education and will serve students for generations to come.
Key Facts:
• Location: 101 Greenhill Drive, Oshawa
• Construction Start: Fall 2025
• Estimated School Opening: September 2027
• Funding: The project is supported by $71.065 million in capital funding from the Government of Ontario, and we are grateful for their continued investment in Catholic education in Durham Region.
• Highlights: This state-of-the-art facility will serve students in Grades 9 through 12, offering both English and French Immersion programming. The school will accommodate 1,061 students in a 127,000 square foot, three-story building.

Quarterly Construction Updates
Below are monthly updates highlighting construction activity, recent accomplishments, and what to expect next.
Start (November 2025) to March 2026 Update
Construction activities continued steadily throughout March. Site preparation work progressed, including grading and underground servicing. Early foundation work began in designated areas, as well as some initial steel structural framing. Weather conditions have been challenging through the cold and snowy winter, with a wet spring, making for difficult conditions on the site.
Highlights:
• Completion of initial site grading;
• Installation of underground services in select zones;
• Foundation pouring for block A and B. Block C (final) is in preparation;
• Structural steel framing and masonry block walls in Block A
