DCDSB 2023-2024 Professional Activity Days

Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers:

Durham Catholic District School Board has Professional Activity (PA) days throughout the school year. During these non-instructional days, students do not attend school, while staff engage in professional learning and activities. 

PA days are intended to improve student success and achievement. Staff have an opportunity to engage in training, review materials and research, collaborate to create lessons and activities, and share best practices.

Beginning in the 2023-2024 school year, boards of education in Ontario are required to post a detailed summary of Professional Activity (PA) days on our board or school websites. The requirements are outlined in Policy and Program Memorandum (PPM) 151.

We invite you to learn more about the Durham Catholic District School Board’s PA day activities at dcdsb.ca/PADays. Summary information will be posted to this webpage in advance of each PA day.
