DCDSB Staff Gather for Advent Twilight Retreat

During the evening of Wednesday, December 6th, more than 40 staff gathered at Manresa Jesuit Spiritual Renewal Centre in Pickering for this year's Advent Twilight Retreat. As per tradition, we began with Mass, which this year was presided over by Fr. Jim Kelly, SJ.

After a delicious dinner and time of table fellowship together in the Dining Room, all participants moved to the Brebeuf Conference Room for a hands-on craft activity of making beeswax sheet Advent candles. To conclude the evening, Tomy Valookaran led the group in a guided meditation and closing prayer.

Thank you to everyone who attended and made it a grace-filled experience. I would also like to offer my sincere appreciation to Cliff & Michelle Azavedo for leading our Mass music, as well as to Defina Pinto and Katharine Stevenson for organizing and leading our candle-making activity.
