DECA Volleyball Championships

Last week Durham Elementary Catholic Athletics (DECA) hosted the Gr. 7 & 8 Volleyball Tournament of Champions from 4 to 9 pm at Father Leo J. Austin C.S.S. from 4 to 9 pm.

Our student athletes representing various regions of Durham displayed great skill and sportsmanship.

Most matches were an emotional rollercoaster for the 225+ spectators that witnessed these Finals on both Tuesday (Girls) and Wednesday (Boys) evening.

The final results were as follows:

DECA would once again like to thank the over 160+ volunteer DCDSB staff that put in the time and effort to coach, and allow our students the opportunity to play Tripleball (Gr. 4-6) and Volleyball (gr. 7 & 8).

Special thanks to all our host schools, especially Father Leo J. Austin for allowing us to use your gymnasiums. Also a special "shout-out" to DECA Tripleball/Volleyball Coordinator, Graeme Mitchell for all his organizational efforts!
