Elementary Indigenous Student Circle Explores the Land with Ben Marshall

On Wednesday, May 15, students from the elementary Indigenous Student Circle were invited to go out on the land with Indigenous community partner and ecologist, Ben Marshall. Ben led the students out to the trail and forested area next to the Pope Francis Centre. The group checked for animal tracks, composition of soil, and they also explored and examined trees and flowers up close with magnifying glasses. This outdoor exploration was a way for the elementary students to connect to the land and learn more about the environment around them.
