Grade 8 Students Explore the Skilled Trades
Grade 8 students from St. Monica Catholic School visited St. Mary Catholic Secondary School on November 27 for a skilled trades workshop. Students participated in hands-on activities and used various tools and technology. Through welding, plasma cutting and woodworking, students created their own personalized plaques that they were able to take home with them.
Thank you to the Grade 11 and 12 students, Guidance staff and Technology teachers at St. Mary Catholic Secondary school for guiding the Grade 8 students in this activity and thank you to the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program for funding this initiative.
