Honouring Our Veterans: A DCDSB Community Tribute
Throughout November, the Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) honours the more than 2.3 million Canadians who have served, and continue to serve, our country in times of war, conflict, and peace. On Indigenous Veterans Day on November 8 and Remembrance Day on November 11, we pay tribute to Indigenous veterans, all who served in the First and Second World Wars, the Korean War, and those who have served in the years since.
In honour of these commemorations, we invite members of the Durham Catholic learning community to share the name(s) of veterans, active service members, or military personnel whose service and sacrifice you will be remembering this November. These names will be displayed on the DCDSB website and on the digital sign outside the Catholic Education Centre (650 Rossland Rd. W., Oshawa) from November 8 to 12, 2026.
If you would like to participate, please complete the form by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.

In addition to this community tribute, students and staff across DCDSB will participate in prayer services, liturgies, learning opportunities, and activities in remembrance of all veterans, including those who gave their lives in service to our country.
As we remember those who served and sacrificed, we lift our hearts in prayer for peace. Lest we forget.
