How Sweet it is to be Generous - St. Matthew the Evangelist Catholic School Gives Back

This Halloween season, the St. Matthew the Evangelist Catholic School community reminded us that the truest joy comes not from receiving but from sharing. In a time of abundance — when our children’s treat bags overflowed with sweets — students chose to give. Together, they donated hundreds of candies and chocolates to Feed the Need Durham, helping bring a moment of delight to families facing difficult times.

 

Through their generosity, students learned that abundance is meant to be shared, and that small acts of kindness can have a lasting impact. Their giving spirit brought to life the Gospel message: “Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.”
