Interactive Wildlife Learning with Zoo to You

Zoo to You visited students at DCDSB for a special experience with Multilingual Learners (MLLs). Ukrainian and Spanish-speaking newcomers from select schools in Whitby and Oshawa participated in an interactive, hands-on Zoo to You, educational experience.

Guided by a Zoo to You educator, MLL students embarked on a hands-on and educational journey where they had the chance to see, hold, and interact with a variety of fascinating animals while learning about their habitats, behaviours, and unique characteristics. The students explored the concepts of community, interdependence, and relationships as they learned how animals are integral to ecosystems. This exploration helped them understand how animals, both in nature and as companions, can have a positive impact on emotional and mental well-being.
