Learning on the Land at St. John Bosco Catholic School

On Wednesday, March 20, Mrs. Dos Santos' Grade 5 class at St. John Bosco Catholic School went out on the land with community partner, Ben Marshall. Ben and the students explored the surrounding St. John Bosco Catholic School area by identifying plants, looking at a nearby water quality and describing some of the biodiversity within the school vicinity. Mrs. Dos Santos' class has committed to learning more about Indigenous culture from Indigenous peoples in light of their connection to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
