Monsignor John Pereyma Catholic Secondary School Creates Display for the National Day of Action for MMIWG2S+
The learning community at Monsignor John Pereyma Catholic Secondary School joined together to create a display for the National Day of Action for Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit+ (MMIWG2S+) Peoples. At the centre of the display is a red dress. This red dress serves as a stark reminder of the stolen daughters, sisters, mothers, grandmothers, aunties, and the Two-Spirit+ friends and family members hurt or whose lives have been taken. October 4th is a day where we, as a community, take action. This may be by attending vigils and/or supporting those in our community that need us. We uplift voices that need to be heard and make known that our communities want the 231 Calls for Justice to be committed to and followed.
