Social Justice Club Presentation at St. John Bosco Catholic School
On Thursday, February 22, the Social Justice Club at St. John Bosco Catholic School led a presentation on historical Black inventors during the school’s Liturgy and Celebrates Assembly. The goal of the presentation was to share every day and common household items that were created by Black inventors with the school community during Black History Month.
The Black individuals that the Social Justice Club introduced included Garret Morgan, the inventor of the traffic light, Osbourn Dorsey, the inventor of the doorknob, and Marcellus Gilmore Edson, the inventor of peanut butter, to name a few.
