The following icons identify the status of strategic goals and priorities listed below.

Goal: To increase opportunities to support a culture of teaching and learning which is rooted in the Gospel values and reflects and nurtures the Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations across all curriculums.

Professional Development for Sowing the Seeds Early Years Resource	Continue with the implementation of Growing in Faith, Growing in Christ with a particular focus on Grade 8. Support teachers in the virtual school with the delivery of the Fully Alive Program.	Completed Completed
Expanded support for implementation of Grades 1-8 Family Life Curriculum	Support equity and the integration of Culturally Responsive and Relevant Pedagogy into Religion and Family Life programs (Indigenous Education, Anti-Black Racism, 2SLGBTQ+) . Implement Sowing the Seeds and Kindergarten Religion Curriculum Resource with a focus on outdoor and experiential education.	Completed Completed
Provision of Secondary Religious Education Resources and capacity building for a Catholic worldview across the curriculum	Support NTIP teachers in the delivery of rich, equitable Religion and Fully Alive Programs Support secondary teachers new to teaching Religion through the lens of assessment. Completed by June 2022. Continued support throughout the school year. October 2021 and ongoing throughout the school year.	Due to supply coverage, learning has been disrupted. This learning is continuous regardless and further learning opportunities have been planned for next year

Intentional steps to expand and enhance cultural expressions of faith through PD and resource purchases.	Establish the role of Senior Manager of Faith Formation to assist in the review and development of faith formation.	Completed
Support the spiritual renewal and faith formation of school administrators as servant leaders by creating time and space for reflection (focused on the role of P/VP in creating communities that accompany, build relationships, encourage engagement, instill hope and form joyful disciples.)	Enhance professional development and spiritual formation opportunities for Faith Ambassadors and Chaplaincy Leads. Continue work with the System Level Pastoral Planning Team, with representatives of various employee groups, to design and plan faith formation opportunities for staff and students with a focus on the board-wide spiritual theme in New Evangelization, A Community of Faith (2021-2022)	Completed Completed
Continue to provide staff opportunities to participate in seasonal twilight retreats.	Review on an ongoing basis, intentional integration of faith development programming through the board’s Leadership Development Strategy and support for new teachers/employees.	Completed

Goal: To foster a relationship between the home, school, and parish through pastoral planning at both the school and system level.

Re-examination of the pastoral plan and how it can be effectively used to support students through the critical links between school, home and parish.

Ensure that every school develops an annual Pastoral Plan with actions to support the spiritual dimension of the school.
Partner with the local parish priest(s) and parents in the development of the school level Pastoral Plan.

Provide Spiritual Renewal and PD opportunities for Chaplains

Engage with local Catholic Parent Involvement Committees and the regional Durham Catholic Parent Involvement Committee (DCPIC) to prioritize and support family engagement in faith formation.

Continue support for Sacramental preparation and Secondary mentorship with elementary feeder schools.
