DCDSB Announces the 2024 Distinguished Catholic Alumni Award Recipients On Thursday, May 16, 2024, the Durham Catholic District School Board recognized seven graduates at the Durham Catholic Children's Foundation gala. A graduate from each Durham Catholic secondary school received the Distinguished Catholic Alumni Award.

Student Walk for Hope Schools across Durham Catholic District School Board will be participating in the Student Walk for Hope in support of the Durham Catholic Children’s Foundation in June 2024. Secondary Student Mental Health Leadership Summit On Thursday, May 9, 2024, secondary students across the Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) gathered at the Pope Francis Centre for the Secondary Student Mental Health Leadership Summit. As part of the board’s Mental Health Strategy, Together for Mental Health: Everyone, Everyday, DCDSB has committed to increasing student engagement and leadership regarding mental health promotion.

Secondary Students Compete in the 2024 White Pine Battle of the Books On Wednesday, May 8, secondary students from the Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) and Durham District School Board (DDSB) gathered to battle over all things literary! Organized by a collaboration of the Durham Public Library groups and both school boards, high school students competed to demonstrate their reading savvy of this year’s Forest of Reading White Pine booklist. OECTA Durham Secondary represents the board's secondary and continuing education teachers.

Durham Catholic District School Board Recognizes the 2023-2024 Distinguished Catholic Leader The Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) is pleased to recognize Elementary Principal, Mike Goff, as the recipient of the 2023-2024 Distinguished Catholic Leader Award. The award was announced following a System- Wide Mass on Monday, May 6, 2024, which also recognized Durham Catholic Distinguished Educators from each school and department across the board.
