DCDSB - Air Quality Update for June 7, 2023 Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers: We want to provide an update on activities in the Durham Catholic District School Board for Wednesday, June 7, 2023. Based on consultations with the Durham Region Health Department and an anticipated worsening Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) as the day progresses, we have recommended that students be kept indoors for recess and lunch today.

DCDSB - Air Quality in Durham Region Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers: The safety of students and staff is a top priority for the Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB). Environment Canada has issued a Special Air Quality statement for the Durham Region as smoke plumes from forest fires in Quebec and northeastern Ontario may result in deteriorated air quality throughout the week.

DCDSB Elementary Summer School Programs DCDSB Elementary Summer School Programs Registration is still open for Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) Elementary Summer School Programs. NEW Summer Camp Offering: Welding Camp for Students in Grades 7 to 9 DCDSB is pleased to offer a Welding Camp that is a fun, hands-on experience with a focus on numeracy for students who have finished Grade 7, 8, or 9.

The DCPIC is currently conducting a parent/guardian survey that will assist in setting the committee’s direction for the 2023-2024 school year.

Durham Catholic District School Board Seeks Two Volunteer Community Members to Serve on the Audit Committee The Durham Catholic District School Board is seeking two community members with financial expertise and business knowledge to serve on the Audit Committee for a 3-year term effective immediately. The audit committee is comprised of three (3) Trustees and two (2) independent members drawn from the community at large.
