3rd Annual Durham Catholic Children’s Foundation Dinner welcomes guest speaker, bestselling author Wesley King

On Friday, May 6, 2016, the Durham Catholic Children’s Foundation, in partnership with the Durham Catholic District School Board, will host the Foundation’s 3rd annual charitable dinner. Honouring Our Most Reverend Vincent Nguyen, Auxiliary Bishop of Toronto, and the 2016 Durham Catholic Distinguished Alumni, the event will bring together approximately 350 guests from the Durham Catholic community.

Members of the community are invited to purchase tickets online at durhamcatholicfoundation.ca for $100 per person. Guests who purchase tickets before Friday, April 8 will be entered into the Early Bird prize draw to win an iPad donated by LifeTouch Photography.

Principal Jim Raper, a member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, will be the Master of Ceremonies. Wesley King, bestselling author and graduate from All Saints Catholic Secondary School in Whitby will be the keynote speaker.

Recognizing the importance of supporting the whole student in mind, body and spirit to foster positive learning outcomes, the Durham Catholic Children’s Foundation was launched in spring 2014. The Foundation enables a formal mechanism for coordinating charitable initiatives, and raising and distributing funds for Durham Catholic children by providing basic needs to the most vulnerable children and families in Durham Region.
