Oshawa Program and Boundary Study Public Meetings

Posted On Tuesday March 21, 2023

Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers:

We wanted to send a reminder about the upcoming public meetings for the Durham Catholic District School Board’s Oshawa Program and Boundary Study. Further information on the Oshawa Program and Boundary Study can be found on our website at www.dcdsb.ca/boundaryreviews

We also wanted to draw your attention to the new interactive boundary map that was created for the Oshawa and Program Boundary Study, and shows the proposed attendance area configurations. We are encouraging families to complete the Oshawa Attendance Area Public Survey once you have reviewed the interactive map and potential attendance area changes.

Durham Catholic District School Board is committed to an open and transparent process that allows for public input through a variety of means. We have scheduled public meetings that will be led a committee comprised of staff and Catholic School Council representatives from each DCDSB school in Oshawa. The committee has been meeting regularly since November 2022 to review options and gather information that will be shared with the communities for input. The public meetings will be an informal carousel style format, with members of the committee present to discuss the changes and listen to comments and concerns.

The following upcoming public meetings have been scheduled to present the options under consideration and to offer our parents, guardians and caregivers the opportunity to ask questions and provide input.

Tuesday, March 21, 2023
7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
St. Christopher Catholic School
431 Annapolis Avenue, Oshawa

Thursday, March 23, 2023
7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic School
1425 Coldstream Drive, Oshawa

If you require accessible accommodations to participate in any of the public meetings, please contact Lori Jones at 905-576-6150 Ext. 22238 in advance of the meeting so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Through this series of public meetings, board staff will compile considerations and recommendations to bring to the June 19, 2023 Regular Board meeting.

If you are unable to attend the public meetings, a webpage has also been established to share information related to the boundary review: www.dcdsb.ca/boundaryreviews. Parents, guardians and caregivers are encouraged to submit their feedback and ask any questions through the feedback form available on the boundary review webpage.

We look forward to working with you at the upcoming meetings. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,
