On December 7, 2020, Mrs. Dyment's 7 and 8 class at St. Bernard Catholic School showcased their 21st Century Learning skills by presenting their incredible coding projects. The students worked with the teacher-librarian Ms. Gardin to learn Scratch code. In creative ways, the students developed animated projects which included trivia and tutorials about mental health awareness. Their entire presentations were coded. Students had to incorporate information and knowledge they received from a recent presentation on the 'Minds Up" program by DCDSB's Child and Youth Councillor, Betty VanKoughnett. All the students' coding projects included mental health strategies, and an understanding of the brain and well-being. Bravo!
