Community Care and Commitment to ShareLife Fundraising at St. James Catholic School

St. James Catholic School knows the meaning of community care! Vice-Principal, Ms. Glover, shared that their Lenten fundraising commitment to raise funds for ShareLife began with a raffle where students’ names were drawn for the opportunity to put a pie in the face of their chosen teacher or administrator at a school assembly!

Fundraising continued with popcorn sales during recess and a Shrove Tuesday pancake mini fundraiser that had many parent and guardian volunteers cook and deliver pancakes for the students.

The big event came to fruition on Holy Thursday: the Lenten basket draw. Leading up to the grand draw, each classroom was responsible to create a basket based on a theme of their choice. The baskets were a result of the commitment of staff and family donations and were a huge success.

Principal, Ms. Borg, later shared her pride in the joint efforts of the school community for the ShareLife campaign. The campaign truly was a spectacular effort by the whole school. Congratulations to all the basket winners and event participants!
