On Wednesday, June 15, 2022 ,  DCDSB Indigenous Youth met to start working on the final design for the student-led mural that will be unveiled in the fall. The mural will be located at the DCDSB’s Catholic Education Centre.

On June 14th, 2022, DCDSB students in Grades 7-12 spent the day at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery in Oshawa. Students collaborated on the poster design for our 2022-2023 spiritual theme, Listening With the Ear of the Heart. The students explored the art gallery, learned about different pathways that art can take them, and worked with a graphic designer to share their ideas and designs for the spiritual theme poster.

St. Mary Catholic Secondary School’s Colour Run was a great show of community and inclusion. This "annual" event, which was on hiatus since 2019 due to COVID-19, had a turnout of over 150 students. The display of pride from each person could be felt. The Harmony Club at All Saints Catholic Secondary School is a student lead GSA that works to welcome 2SLGBTQAI+ youth and allies to a safe space where we can work together towards equality and acceptance.
