Durham Catholic families with students in Grades 9 to 12 are invited to explore the skilled trades by attending Ontario Power Generation's  Connecting Youth to Trades Careers  on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at the OPG's Pickering Information Centre. The event will include an:
Open House: 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.;
Trade Talk:    6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.; and
Networking:  8:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Austin Catholic Secondary School hosted a fundraising evening at Boston Pizza in Whitby. Ten percent from every dinner sold went towards the school’s Terry Fox fundraising efforts. Leadership students volunteered their time to serve tables and sold tickets to a raffle draw. Way to go Wildcats!

Staff had an opportunity to ask the circle members questions about Indigenous teaching during round table discussions. The day was an opportunity for the Indigenous Education Advisory Circle to meet the teaching leads and share Indigenous stories and culture.
