About Scott
Scott Grieve is the Senior Business Official (SBO), as Superintendent of Business, Finance and Facilities Services. He oversees capital renewal and construction, planning, community of schools and partnerships, custodial and maintenance operations, insurance, and he supports the chief financial officer with finance and business services.
Scott has worked in facilities services roles throughout his career, and discovered that his drive to be a life-long learner matched with the Education sector, where he has been a strong leader in Catholic Education since 2006. He has held various supervisor and management roles in sustainability, projects, maintenance and operations, and this has helped provide him with a holistic knowledge of facilities services, and system leadership skills that have assisted him in his educational journey towards becoming a Superintendent in 2019.
Scott is a world traveller who says that his experiences of living and working abroad has provided him with a unique perspective to serve as a Catholic leader in an ever-diversifying community. His biggest hope in his role as Superintendent is to leave a lasting contribution in creating a safe, sustainable and welcoming environment, in existing and new schools in the Catholic communities across Durham Region.
