DCDSB Appoints New Superintendent

The Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Grieve to the position of Superintendent of Facilities, Custodial and Maintenance Services effective August 1, 2019.

Mr. Grieve brings over 20 years of experience within the custodial, maintenance and building energy industry, including 10 years of supervisory and managerial leadership. He has served at DCDSB since 2010 as Supervisor, Maintenance, Energy and Waste Services; and Manager, Custodial & Maintenance Services. Prior to his appointment with DCDSB, he worked at the Toronto Catholic District School Board, Wasteco Environmental Services, and IBM Canada.

Mr. Grieve is currently an Executive Member of the Ontario Association of School Business Officials (OASBO) – Operation, Maintenance and Construction Committee. He is also Chair of DCDSB’s Environmental Committee and Accessibility Committee. A graduate of University of Toronto with Honours, he has also studied extensively with the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE/UofT) in the Masters program for Educational Leadership and Policy.

“I welcome Scott to the Senior Administrative Team. His background and dedication as a valued leader on the Facilities, Custodial and Maintenance Services team will ensure a seamless transition to his new role within our Catholic school system,” said Anne O’Brien, Director of Education.
