On Thursday, May 22, students in Grade 9-12 from Archbishop Denis O’Connor Catholic High School came together to plant trees in Ajax. The Faith in Motion group organized this tree planting event with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority's (TRCA) Conservation Youth Corps. 51 students from the school contributed to this exciting conservation initiative, and at the end of the day, 400 trees were planted! On Thursday, May 15 and Friday, May 16, Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) staff and educators had the opportunity to gather at the Pope Francis Centre for a day of learning led by Dr. Niigaan Sinclair.

On May 1, 2025, students from Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School hosted and participated in a Special Olympics Floorball Tournament. Students from five different high schools participated in the tournament at Notre Dame.
