Durham Catholic District School Board Chair and Vice-Chair Acclaimed for 2018

At the Inaugural Board Meeting on December 4, 2017, led by Our Most Reverend Bishop Nguyen as Honorary Chair, Durham Catholic District School Board Trustees were guided in their Rite of Renewal of the Roman Catholic Trustee, followed by the election of the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Board.

Tricia Chapman, Trustee for the Town of Whitby, was acclaimed for the position of Chair of the Board for 2018.

Chair Chapman thanked fellow Trustees for their support and for electing her as Chair of the Board. “I look forward to fulfilling this role with faith and dedication to our Catholic school system,” Chair Chapman said.  

Monique Forster, Trustee for the Town of Ajax was acclaimed for the position of Vice-Chair for 2018. Vice-Chair Forster thanked fellow trustees for their support. “I feel honoured and blessed to have the opportunity to serve our students, their families and those who serve them as the new Vice-chair of the Board,” she said. 

On behalf of the Board’s Senior Administrative Team, Anne O’Brien, Director of Education congratulated Chair Chapman and Vice-Chair Forster on their positions.

“We are grateful for the dedication of our Durham Catholic Trustees and look forward to serving with Chair Chapman and Vice-Chair Forster in their leadership roles this year as we continue to explore innovative ideas to support the directions outlined in our Discovery 2020 Strategic Plan,” Director O’Brien said.
