Build a Dream Durham Career Discovery Expo

Build a Dream’s Durham Career Discovery Expo is taking place on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Deer Creek Golf and Banquet Facility. This event is free for Grade 7-12 female students of Durham Catholic District School Board and one of their parents, guardians, or caregivers to attend. While this event is directed to females, all interested Grade 7-12 students may attend. The event will highlight a variety of career pathways. On Thursday, April 27, 2023, the doors will open at 5:00 p.m., and the event will take place from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. 

There will be a main stage featuring women who will talk about their career journeys. In addition, companies and organizations will share information on their industries and what they look for in a candidate, along with school board representatives who will discuss programs accessible in high school.

There will also be a tradeshow-style section of the venue where participants can visit exhibitor booths, meet representatives from a variety of career sectors and partake in interactive career exploration activities.

A small meal and swag bag will also be provided and there will be opportunities to win prizes, play games and more!
