After a year-long community consultation and planning process for the development of the new multi-year plan, the Durham Catholic District School Board launched Inspire 2026 in the 2023-2024 school year.
The strategic priorities identified in the Board-approved multi-year plan, Inspire 2026, are to:
Inspire 2026 also committed to focusing on the intentional use of three strategic processes - Listening, Learning and Living in Faith - to inform decision-making.
The graphic below visually represents the expectation that efforts to achieve the strategic priorities will be informed by, and reflective of, the strategic processes.
Ultimately, the mission of the Durham Catholic District School Board is to be an inclusive Catholic learning community that inspires each student to reach their full potential through faith and education.
Actions taken to support faith and well-being and/or advance human rights and equity, in concert with the initiatives and commitments to Indigenous Education are understood as creating the conditions necessary for improved student learning. Ongoing professional learning opportunities, strategic actions, and parish/community engagement initiatives for each of the conditions for learning priorities are outlined in area-specific planning documents.
